Jay Pennathur is an Indian-American director of photography and colorist born and raised in San Jose and currently working in Los Angeles.

Across the last two years, he has lit and lensed a wide array of narrative projects, using multiple capture formats from S16 to Digital and a variety of lenses and equipment to help passionate directors bring their visions to life on screen.

Off set, Jay works as rental house technician for Spekulor Rentals in Hawthorne, honing his knowledge of the newest camera and lighting gear on the market. He also works as a freelance colorist, using his experience with DaVinci Resolve to help directors and DoPs realize their visions in post production.
