Jay Pennathur is a Director of Photography and Colorist based in Los Angeles, California. Born and raised in San Jose, he has honed his craft over the past three years, lighting and capturing a diverse range of narrative projects.

Jay’s expertise encompasses various capture formats, including 35mm, S16 and Digital, and a wide array of lenses and equipment. He collaborates closely with passionate directors to bring their creative visions to life on screen.

In addition to his on-set work, Jay possesses over a year of experience working at a camera rental house and work experience as a freelance colorist. His proficiency in DaVinci Resolve enables him to assist directors and Directors of Photography in realizing their post-production visions.
